The correct use of sentence patterns in real situations. Difficult Points How to help students use the learned sentence patterns accurately and fluently to express their own ideas. How to guide students to understand and respect different cultures involved in the text. 3. Analysis of Students The students in this class are at the primary school stage. They are full of curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new things. At this time, they have already had a certain foundation in English learning, such as basic vocabulary and simple sentence structures. However, their self-control ability is relatively weak, and they may easily get distracted in class. Therefore, in teaching, I will adopt vivid and interesting teaching methods to attract their attention and stimulate their learning motivation. 4. Teaching Methods 4.1 Communicative Approach I will create various real-life communication situations to encourage students to communicate with each other in English, so as to improve their practical language application ability. 4.2 Task-based Teaching Method By designing different tasks, such as role-playing, group discussion, etc., students can complete tasks while learning knowledge, which helps to cultivate their cooperation spirit and problem-solving ability. 4.3 Audio-visual Teaching Method Using multimedia resources like pictures, videos, and animations can make the teaching content more vivid and intuitive, helping students better understand and remember knowledge. 5. Learning Strategies 5.1 Cooperative Learning Strategy Arrange students to work in groups to complete various tasks. Through cooperation, they can learn from each other, share ideas, and improve their teamwork ability. 5.2 Autonomous Learning Strategy Guide students to explore and discover knowledge independently, such as asking them to preview new words and sentences before class, and summarize what they have learned after class. 6. Teaching Procedures 6.1 Warming-up (3 minutes) Greet the students and have a free talk with them, asking some simple questions like "How are you today?" "What's the weather like?" This can create a relaxed and friendly classroom atmosphere and lead in to the new lesson. Play a short video related to [topic], such as a cartoon about [topic]. This can quickly arouse students' interest and draw their attention to the class. 6.2 Presentation (10 minutes) Use pictures or real objects to introduce the new words one by one. For example, when teaching the word "[word]", show a picture of it and read the word aloud several times, asking students to repeat after me. Then, teach the pronunciation rules and spelling of the word. Present the new sentence patterns in context. Create a simple dialogue or situation to help students understand the meaning and usage of the sentence patterns. For instance, "Look at this picture. There is a [object] on the [place]. We can say 'There is a [object] on the [place].'" Let students imitate and practice the sentence pattern. 6.3 Practice (15 minutes) Conduct individual practice. Ask students to read the new words and sentences aloud one by one, and correct their pronunciation mistakes in time. Organize pair work. Let students work in pairs to practice the dialogue or use the sentence patterns to make their own conversations. Walk around the classroom to monitor and offer help when necessary. Carry out group activities. Divide students into groups and assign them different tasks, such as creating a short skit using the learned words and sentence patterns. Each group will perform their skit in front of the class later. This activity can not only strengthen students' cooperation ability but also give them more opportunities to practice speaking English. 6.4 Reading (10 minutes) Present a short text related to the topic. First, let students read the text silently and try to understand the general idea. Then, read the text aloud together, explaining some difficult words and sentences. Design some reading comprehension questions, such as true or false questions, multiple-choice questions, etc. Let students answer these questions according to the text, which can help improve their reading ability. 6.5 Writing (7 minutes) Guide students to write simple sentences or paragraphs based on the learned content. For example, ask them to describe a [scene or object] using the sentence patterns and words they have just learned. Walk around the classroom to check students' writing process and provide guidance. After that, select some students' works to share and give positive feedback and suggestions. 6.6 Summary and Homework (5 minutes) Summarize the main content of this lesson, emphasizing the key words and sentence patterns. Ask students if they have any questions. Assign homework: Ask students to make a short video introducing [topic] using the knowledge they have learned in this class and send it to the class group. This homework can not only consolidate what they have learned but also train their comprehensive language application ability. 7. Blackboard Design On the left side of the blackboard, I will write the new words, with their pronunciation and Chinese meanings. On the right side, I will write the important sentence patterns, and leave some space in the middle for students' works or notes during the class. 8. Teaching Reflection After the class, I will reflect on my teaching process. Consider whether the teaching methods are appropriate, whether students can actively participate in class activities, and whether the teaching aims have been achieved. According to the reflection results, I will adjust my teaching plan and methods in the future teaching to improve teaching quality. That's all for my presentation. Thank you!
