你可能还记得，《银河护卫队》第一部开头就是一段星爵尬舞，使得银河护卫队落得一个尬舞天团的美名。在第二部里，星爵不尬舞了，为了保住尬舞天团的美名，这个重任就交到了格鲁特的身上。
第一部的结局中，格鲁特为了保护众人，不惜牺牲自己，最后留得一小节，要重新种植、长大。在片尾中，它随着片尾曲尬起舞来。小树苗格鲁特战斗力骤减，不能像第一部那样，强得旁人不敢接近。
其他人还得充当奶爸奶妈保护着他，免得他再次受到伤害。于是，第二部一上来，格鲁特就在大家面临大敌的时候，播起了音乐，来了段尬舞，萌得不要不要的。
如果说第一部的格鲁特是呆萌的话，这次缩小版的格鲁特就是纯粹的萌了。他完全就是一个小孩子的形象，容易开心、容易生气、容易相信人，偶尔智商着急，让人哭笑不得.
观众全程想把他抱回家，就连反派都不杀他——— 就因为太可爱了！因为战斗力不高的原因，其实格鲁特的戏份并不多，但每次出场都会引起影院内一阵笑声。
然而在《银河护卫队2》片尾的彩蛋里，格鲁特宝宝竟然长!大!了!不过还没有完全长成成年人，大概是高中生的样子，并进入了叛逆期。把房间弄得乱七八糟，专注打游戏，还被星爵爸爸数落。孩子总是会长大让父母操心的，怀念那个宝宝。
据悉，格鲁特宝宝跳舞时的背景音乐是《Mr.Blue Sky》（蓝天先生）。这首歌出自ElectricLightOrchestra电光乐队1977年专辑《Out of the Blue》。
电光乐队是一支庞大的管弦乐编制乐团，团员们最原始的想法是藉以古典音乐乐器的诠释方式来演奏摇滚乐。使他们得以在70至80年代间独树一帜。
步入80年代中期以后，该团的作品便逐渐减少，《Mr.BlueSky》是他们的早期作品，出现在电影开头。听完之后心情大好，如就像早上一拉开窗帘，发现阳光赶走多日的阴霾。
